Napping Pee

We've been working on potty training, but I'm not really pushing it. There are days when Selah's very interested and days when she's not. Following a visit with her older cousin, Zeke, who goes potty all by himself, Selah was very interested these past couple of days.

"Mommy, Mommy," she called. "I want to go pee on the big potty."

"Get your potty seat," I answered. "You can do it!"

"No, not the potty seat," she replied. "I want to go pee on the big potty, like you...and Zeke."

Off she went into the master bathroom. I followed behind. She dropped her pull-up and scooted up on the seat. All by herself.

"Good job, Selah," I encouraged. "I know you can do it. Go on."

She sat still a moment then strained a bit and looked down into the toilet. She shook her head.

"Pee, come out of there," she demanded. "Oh, it's not coming out!"

She leaned back, sighed and looked up at me.

"I think it's taking a nap!" she declared.

Yesterday was a great potty day! She told me three times that she needed to go and then actually went on the big-girl potty! Hooray! We always sing -- You did it! You did it! It's really, really true! You did it! You did it! I'm so proud of you!

Nate has some days where he goes ALL day and some days where he goes NONE. I dont care. He will NOT be 10 and in a diaper, of this I am sure. I want to know that song! I havent heard it before. Whats the 'tune'? We always have to sing the silly Dora song!
